2008 Eisner Nomination
By Gerry on 15 Apr 2008

Wow! Our comic was nominated in the Best New Series Category:

- Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Season 8, by Joss Whedon, Brian K. Vaughan, Georges Jeanty, and Andy Owens (Dark Horse)
- Immortal Iron Fist, by Ed Brubaker, Matt Fraction, David Aja, and others (Marvel)
- Johnny Hiro, by Fred Chao (AdHouse)
- The Infinite Horizon, by Gerry Duggan and Phil Noto (Image)
- Scalped, by Jason Aaron and R. M. Guera (Vertigo/DC)

Phil and I are truly honored to be in such company. One of the first congratulatory notes I got this morning was from Jason who of course is nominated for his excellent book SCALPED. I'm lucky enough to count a bunch of these guys as friends, so whatever happens -- that Friday night in San Diego will be fun. The judges did a really wonderful job nominating a lot of excellent material. The full list is at Newsarama.

Come see Phil and I at the Image booth during New York Comic Con we'll be signing
Saturday the 19th from 11-12
&
Sunday the 20th from 3-4

Entertainment Weekly Reviews The Infinite Horizon
By Gerry on 21 Feb 2008

Clark Collis of EW really enjoyed our first 2 issues.

We've gotten some really great press, and I hope that his review will send some folks that might not buy singles into shops looking for our comic. As far as I know both the reprints of 1 and 2 are still available from the distributor, and 3 will be out in a few weeks. You can read Clark's thoughtful review over at the EW website

The review asks an important question - how do we cover nearly 10 years of adventure into just six issues. One of the answers is that we're publishing BIG issues. Issue 3 will be in stores at the end of March, and it will be 28 pages, with the same cover price.

If you're going to be up at Wondercon look for both Phil and I at the Image booth from 4-5 PM on Friday and Saturday. Phil will be at Naked Fat Rave both days and I'll be signing with Remender and Posehn at Rick's table in artist alley.
